Requirements:

Qualifications:

Professional-level language skills in both English and French.

Master’s degree in Translation or Translation Studies, membership in a recognized association or order of professional translators with English and French as working languages, and/or equivalent academic and professional experience.

Extensive professional experience in French to English or English to French translation, preferably in Canada.

Excellent knowledge of the Canadian language industry, including various employment profiles, important organizations, and professional standards.

University-level teaching experience is an asset

Duties:

Deliver lectures and manage classroom activities and assessments in both English and French.

Build and maintain a site for the course in the university’s learning management system.

Integrate discussions of and/or exercises with appropriate technological tools in the course content, with reference to selected technologies and resources provided by the School.

Coordinate with the Chair/Program Coordinator and colleagues to maintain program learning outcomes and coherence, while maintaining academic freedom
