Building Energy Analysis
This course introduces aspects of building energy analysis through lectures, readings, and project work on relevant topics. Topics will be presented using a multi-disciplinary perspective. The course is intended to develop of knowledge and skills that will aid students in making contributions to efforts to reduce building energy use. This will include: understanding the interactive effects of different building components and systems on overall energy use;
techniques for identifying potential opportunities for improvements; applying analysis tools (e.g. whole-building simulation) to inform decision-making regarding improvements.
