Our Financial Services Client is looking for a Platform Tech Lead, Payments to support Digital Services Platform for the development, deployment, and support of a new, cutting-edge digital banking platform.
This is Permanent role,% Remote, Vancouver, BC preferred, open to BC, Ontario and Alberta candidates.
Must Have:
Bachelor's degree in computer science, Engineering, or a related field8+ years of experience building, integrating, or operating banking or payments platforms
, with at least 2 years in a technical leadership role.Strong hands-on knowledge of payment systems
, including one or more of the following:Interac e-TransferReal-Time Rail (RTR)EFT/ACH processingWire paymentsCard or other electronic payment networksSolid understanding of the Canadian payments ecosystem including Payments Canada frameworks, clearing and settlement processes, and partner/vendor landscapeExperience working with core banking integrations and payment processing platformsWorking knowledge of Dev Ops practices, CI/CD pipelines, and modern engineering practicesStrong experience with API development, microservices architecture, and integration frameworksKnowledge of data privacy and security regulations.Proficiency across the platform stack (application, services, and database layers)Familiarity with cloud technologies (AWS, Azure) and distributed systems designExperience operating platforms in multi-server or distributed environments.Working knowledge of Dev Ops principles.Experience with monitoring and observability tools such as Splunk or similar platformsStrong technical leadership capabilities including architecture decision making, roadmap development, platform optimization and delivery executionExcellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to translate complex technical concepts into clear guidance for business and product stakeholders
