This role involves 28 hours per week under the Violence Against Women team, where you’ll deliver direct support, advocate for client needs, and educate the community about violence against women. Your skills in crisis intervention, systems navigation, and advocacy will be essential in empowering clients. You’ll also work collaboratively within a diverse environment to promote health equity and inclusion.
Key Responsibilities:
• Provide crisis intervention for abused women
• Help women access community resources and housing
• Develop and implement safety and action plans
• Advocate for clients’ needs with external parties
• Educate the community on violence against women
Requirements:
• Bachelor of Social Work or equivalent experience
• Two years in the Violence Against Women sector
• Strong organizational and communication skills
• Knowledge of resources available for women
• Valid driver’s license and access to a vehicle
Utilize your expertise to foster safety and empowerment for women in the community at WOCRC.
