Quality Control Technician

Job Title: Quality Control Technician

Location: Ottawa, IL - Onsite

Compensation: $17.00 - $19.00 Hourly

Advantech is seeking a Quality Control Technician who will ensure that products and processes meet the quality standards of the company. The ideal candidate will perform inspections, tests, and analysis to identify any deviations or defects that may affect overall product quality, safety, and production efficiency.

• Maintain quality assurance processes
• Conduct inspections of incoming material and products
• Perform testing using measuring tools
• Document incoming results
• Analyze results
• Assist with corrective actions and root cause analysis
• Identify non‑conforming material
• Inspect component/product cosmetics and/or functional specifications
• Maintain inspection guidelines and inspection records for assigned QC functions (IQC, IPQC, FQC, OQC, ECOM)
• Maintain database and record retention for traceability purposes
• Handle Advantech / Local Fabricated Hardware Modification & Rework
• Ensure inspection references product development specifications, drawings, or schematics for Advantech and/or fabricated products
• Inform QC Manager of any product specification discrepancies
• Perform other projects and tasks assigned

• 2+ years of College, AA certification or 2+ years of electronic/computer related work experience
• Proficient in MS OS installation and troubleshooting
• Proficient in MS Office Suite
• Detail oriented
• Familiarity with computer hardware inspection and QC guidelines
