Electrical Project Engineer – EHV Substation (765kV) Location

• Function as a Technical Specialist or Project Lead for substation projects up to 765kV.
• Assist in engineering detailed design and EPC for substation projects.
• Develop protection and control design deliverables including protective relays, panel arrangements, single line and three‑line diagrams, AC/DC schematics, relay panel wiring, and equipment wiring.
• Prepare physical design deliverables such as yard layout plans, grounding, lightning protection, control building arrangements, and auxiliary AC/DC power systems.
• Perform or oversee quality review of electrical substation design packages.
• Provide guidance and mentorship to junior team members.
• Prepare electrical equipment specifications and Bills of Materials (BOM) for procurement and construction.
• Communicate and coordinate project activities with clients, vendors, subcontractors and stakeholders.
• Present proposals, designs and project activities.
• Travel to client and vendor offices and project sites for design reviews, construction coordination and field verification as required.
• Prepare and manage design budgets and schedules.
• Assist in business development and pursuit activities.
• Maintain compliance with quality program standards and change‑management processes.
• Provide technical direction on design guides, standards and engineering codes.
• Coordinate with internal and external teams on moderately complex projects.
• Support resource management strategy and engineering resource oversight for small groups.

• Experience in EHV substation design (500kV+) – physical and/or protection & controls.
• Project lead and technical specialist experience overseeing utility substation projects.
• QA/QC reviews and quality assurance/quality checks.
• Strong coordination and communication with clients, multidisciplinary leads, and project managers.
• Professional Engineer (PE) license.
• Proficient with Bluebeam Revu and Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint).

• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering from an accredited program.
• Minimum of 5 years related work experience.
• Successful completion of pre‑employment onboarding requirements (criminal/civil background check, drug screen, motor vehicle records search).
