BI Developer

Nature of Work

The BI Developer is responsible for creating effective technical solutions through the design, testing, and maintenance of various data initiatives and reports.

• Develop and Maintain reports using Crystal Reports, SSRS, and Power BI.
• Collaborate with business analysts to understand reporting requirements.
• Generate innovative approaches to datasets with active users.
• Communicate findings clearly both verbally and in writing to a broad range of stakeholders.
• Test, monitor, and report on data health and data quality.
• Develop complex reporting and extract-based stored procedures and SQL queries.
• Ensure data accuracy and integrity in all deliverables.
• Establishes and maintains collaborative relationships at all levels of the organization.
• Challenges the status quo; encourages innovative ideas and new ways of doing things.
• Keep up to date with the tech industry and identify applicable software enhancements.
• Implement and maintain data warehousing strategies from multiple sources.

• Proficiency in SQL and relational databases.
• Experience with reporting software – Power BI preferred.
• Experience in managing and connecting data from multiple data sources.
• Ability to perform work accurately and completely, and in a timely manner.
• Ability to deliver quality through attention to detail.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills.
• Ability to work effectively and proactively both in a team as well as independently.
• Familiarity of ETL processes and data‑warehousing concepts.

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or related discipline
• In lieu of the above requirements, relevant experience will be considered.

• 1‑3 years or more of related work experience preferred.

• Must be able to lift up to 10 pounds.
• May require periods of overnight travel.
• Normal office environment.
• Frequent activity:
  Sitting, Viewing Computer Screen.
• Occasional activity:
  Standing, Walking, Bending, Reaching above Shoulder.
