Title: Manager / Assistant Manager
• Location: National Harbor, MD
• Reports to: GM/Owner
• Employee Status: Exempt
• Hours: Full-Time (seasonal: ~ 4/1/21 – 10/10/21)

Monumental Boat Tours is a small business dedicated to providing a safe and fun experience on the Potomac River aboard two-person catamaran boats, also known as CraigCats.  Our guided tours include desinations such as the monuments and Washington, DC and the Maryland/Virginia waters and Mount Vernon.  Check out our website at monumentalboattours . com

Primary Responsibilities:
• Establish/implement/revise Standard Operating Procedures.
• Oversee the day-to-day operations to include but not limited to safety procedures/incident mitigation, training of staff and customers, sales, and boat maintenance.
• Maintain quality service by establishing and enforcing organization standards.
• Provides day-to-day supervision of multi-disciplinary teams of entire staff including guides, deck hands, reservations, and maintenance staff.
• Ensure that the staff work in line with all company manuals/procedures and aligned with laws and best practices.
• Oversee and/or participate in developmental projects associated with the Monumental brand.
• Participate in the recruitment, hiring, and training of all staff.
• Review and approve payroll for all employees.
• Manage the technology systems for bookings, etc..
• Organize and facilitate regular meetings.
• Facilitate a positive team dynamic and site experience.
• Assist with special projects and activities.
• Manage group sales and reservations strategy.
• Ensure all customers are treated with first class customer service.
• Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
• Experience in project and operations management.
• Experience in facilitation (briefing, debriefing).
• Ability to plan, organize, and prioritize work while managing multiple deadlines in a continually changing work environment.
• Strong administrative and organizational skills.
• Ability to work creatively and constructively with staff to create a team environment.
• Ability to work well independently and as a part of a team.
• Excellent interpersonal skills, both verbal and written.
• Ability to repetitively lift 50 pounds.
Position Requirements
High School
Requirements
• Current CPR and First Aid certifications (acquire upon hiring at company expense)
• Successful completion Background Check including the National Sex Offender Registry (acquire at company expense)
• Successful completion of a free BoatUS NASBLA-Approved Boater’s Safety (acquire upon hiring at company expense)
• Official Paddlesports Safety Course Online by Boat-Ed (acquire upon hiring at company expense)
• Strong management skills.
• Desired experience working with point-of-sales systems and web-based technology systems.
• Flexibility to work where necessary on the weekend, evening, and holiday hours.
• Willing to take a drug test as required.
