RN Obstetrics

Shift: 12 HR Nights

Weekend Requirement: Every Other Weekend
Holiday Requirement: Every Other Holiday
On Call: 2 call shifts in 6 weeks
Patient Ratios: 1:1 or 1:2 acuity dependent
Patient Population

• Neonates (0-4 weeks)
• Infant (1-12 months)
• Pediatrics (1-12 years)
• Adolescents (13-17 years)
• Adults (18-64 years)
• Geriatrics (65 years and older)

Required Certifications
Must be attached at submission:

• ACLS
• BLS
• NRP
• AWHONN

Minimum Experience Requirements

• 1 year of RN experience

Preferred:

• Bachelor of Science Nursing
• Recent OB, ED or critical care experience

Required Skills

• Must be able to circulate
• Conducting vaginal exams
• Electronic fetal monitoring
• Resuscitation and stabilization of mother/fetal dyad

Preferred Skills

• Electronic Fetal Monitoring Certification - National Certification Corporation
• Maternal Newborn Nursing Certification - National Certification Corporation

Charting System

Charting:

• EPIC Electronic Health Record

Include any required check-off, class, or training if listed

• EKG exam
