This role supports a Lead Superintendent on an active project, playing a key part in keeping the job on track, maintaining quality, and ensuring a safe, efficient jobsite. WhatYou’ll Do as the Assistant Superintendent (Multifamily Construction)
- Support daily field operations alongside the Lead Superintendent
- Coordinate subcontractors and ensure alignment with schedule and milestones
- Help maintain jobsite organization, workflow, and productivity
- Assist with sequencing of trades, deliveries, and inspections
- Identify and elevate potential delays or field issues early
- Conduct site walks to verify work meets plans, specs, and code requirements
- Assist with punch list tracking and project closeout activities
- Enforce safety standards and support OSHA compliance efforts
- Participate in jobsite safety meetings and monitor subcontractor adherence
- Track daily manpower and maintain jobsite logistics and cleanliness
- Provide regular updates on field progress and issues to project leadership
- 5+ years of construction experience with exposure to multifamily projects
- Experience supporting ground‑up construction projects
- Strong understanding of construction sequencing and trade coordination
- Ability to proactively identify issues and communicate effectively
- Comfortable working onsite full‑time in Palmdale, CA
- Strong organizational and problem‑solving skills
- Experience with garden‑style or podium multifamily construction
- Familiarity with Procore or similar construction management software
- Experience working on projects in Southern California
- Background working with high‑performing field teams
