Description
You will be the Aircraft Electrical Engineer for Lockheed Martin Aeronautics, responsible for developing and defining the Electrical Power System (EPS) architecture, schematics, and requirements in close partnership with systems engineering and specialist disciplines.
ResponsibilitiesAs the Aircraft Electrical Engineer you will be responsible for researching, developing, and defining EPS architecture, schematics, and requirements in close partnership with system engineering and specialist disciplines.
- Perform electrical load analysis, verification, and validation to support EPS architecture balance.
- Design and verify EPS state diagrams and ensure compliance with airworthiness, survivability, and functional requirements.
- Manage technical supplier interactions, conduct testing, and evaluate power quality for generators, converters, batteries, and associated controllers.
- Develop power distribution switching concepts, conduct coordination studies, and select appropriate isolation protection devices.
- Produce clear technical documentation and communicate findings to leadership and cross‑functional teams.

QualificationsYou are a motivated U.S. citizen with a solid foundation in electrical engineering and a proven ability to solve complex problems, excellent communication skills, and the ability to thrive in collaborative, team‑based environments.
Basic Qualifications- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering.
- Experience with aircraft AD/DC Power Generation and Distribution systems.
- Experience with 3DX, CATIA, Solid Works, Pro Engineer, Creo, Unigraphics, NX, or equivalent 3‑D CAD tools.
- Experience with harness, wiring, or cable design/schematics.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work in a collaborative and team‑based environment.
MUST BE A U.S. CITIZEN; the selected candidate must possess an active Interim Secret clearance to start. Clearance level:
Secret with Investigation or CV date within 5 years.
