Area Dispatcher

Job Summary:

Control the flow of parts, materials, and paperwork in an assigned production area to ensure scheduled completion of fabrication or assembly orders. Coordinate with Tool Planning, Materiel Control, and other departments to maintain order status, procure blueprints and change documents, and follow up on tooling and materials required for fabrication.

Key Responsibilities:

• Examine orders entering the assigned section, determine machines/workstations capable of producing parts and assemblies, and assign priorities in accordance with scheduling and production requirements.
• Re‑sequence jobs as required, sending materials and semi‑finished parts to hold‑rack while awaiting release of planning, engineering, or tooling information.
• Make contacts with Planning, Inspection, Time Standards, and other production control personnel to obtain authorization and eliminate production delays.
• Procure necessary blueprints, change notices, tooling, and materials to assure workability of orders.
• Request transportation or handling equipment, load, unload, and move materials within the area serviced, and move materials to/from other sections if required.
• Advise affected personnel of estimated completion dates for fabricated or assembled items.
• Maintain company licenses, certifications, and training as required by the company and governmental agencies.

• Demonstrate knowledge of entry‑level blueprint and technical data comprehension.
• One year of experience in material handling.

• Experience with SFM.
• Experience with tracking inventory.
• Experience in a warehouse setting.

Position requires a U.S. citizen and a secret clearance.

California base range: $22.46 - $34.65 per hour.

Full‑time, second shift, onsite.
