SECTION II: PURPOSE OF

THE ROLE

To oversee and perform electrical maintenance tasks, ensuring equipment reliability and safety. This includes executing scheduled and emergency repairs, adhering to standards and procedures, managing inventory, supporting projects, and maintaining documentation. The role also involves troubleshooting issues, analyzing costs, and ensuring compliance with HSEF standards

To ensure the availability and safe and reliable operation of electrical equipment in the plant by timely and effective, predictive, and preventive maintenance

Responsibilities

Workshop Maintenance Planning
Prepare workshop electrical maintenance cost and budgeting and oversee adherence to the same to ensure efficient utilization
Create maintenance schedules at a daily, weekly and monthly basis for electrical activities in coordination with planning and plant maintenance teams
Create the resourcing plan as per the maintenance schedule in order to handle day-to-day workshop electrical maintenance activities
Ensure maintenance KPIs of workshop electrical are met on a weekly basis
Manage all electrical maintenance activities of OSBL Non-Plant areas either connected to health, human welfare or Corporate social responsibility (MAB, MCC, TPA, Guest House, Damka, Mora Health care centre)
Handle complex level maintenance of Split ACs, Window ACs, Water coolers, Domestic Fridges, Street lights etc.
Drive continuous process improvements and keep abreast of maintenance best practices
Policies, Processes and Procedures
Oversee day to day activities & follow all relevant policies, processes, standard operating procedures and instructions so that work is carried out in a controlled and consistent manner
Keep self abreast with leading practices & trends and contribute to the identification of continuous improvement of systems, processes and procedures
Follow test procedures and formats; ensure implementation of best practices and group guidelines for electrical equipment nt Maintenance Planning
Prepare electrical maintenance cost and budgeting and oversee adherence to the same to ensure efficient utilization for the plant.
Ensure maintenance schedules are executed on a daily, weekly, and monthly basis for electrical activities in coordination with planning and plant maintenance teams.
Ensure the availability of resources to handle day-to-day electrical maintenance activities.
Ensure root cause analysis and implementation of all recommendations on time.
Plant Maintenance Operations Compliance & Documentation
Review, prioritize and execute critical electrical maintenance activities while ensuring adherence to highest quality standards
Coordinate with other functions and follow up for external repairs;
Oversee maintenance of electrical equipment at site common areas
Manage the planned turnaround and shutdown services performed on electrical equipment and systems to ensure they are maintained, tested and calibrated timely
Support in the Identification of root cause for failures and perform risk assessment, as well as provide inputs in troubleshooting measures that prevent repetitive failures.
Perform Task-based risk assessment for all critical activities and ensure all activities are executed with proper permit and risk assessment.
Conduct training and skill development of team members as per requirements
Ensure availability of all critical spares and cost-effectively manage spares.
Manage all planned and reactive maintenance of non-plant areas attached to CES workshop plant areas.
Support / Implement MOCs and CAPEXs flawlessly.
Implement life cycle plan / 5 year Obsolescence plan.
Ensure compliance with all PM and PdM plans.
Ensure compliance with CAT and Meridium recommendations.
Participate in safety committees and implement action plans.
Support in conducting system and procedure compliance audits in own section and ensure adherence to statutory, Electrical Safety Maintenance, and HSE compliance, including RESOP, DOSHE, CASHe, HSEF mandatory training, etc.
Coordinate with vendors/ equipment manufacturers to ensure seamless contract management and release material/ service PRs & service entries
