Bookkeeper/ Accounting Clerk, Accounting Assistant

Position OverviewWayne State College is seeking an Accounting Clerk III.
Examples of Work Performed- Daily:
- Open mail and route to correct individual
- Code invoices with vendor number
- Analyze and code invoice with expense code
- Enter invoices for payment
- Reconcile invoice batch for payment
- Monthly:
- Reconcile vendor statements
- As Needed:
- Maintain vendor list
- Maintain prepaid payables list
- Answer campus questions pertaining to process, procedure, budget
- Review outstanding warrant report
- Make journal entries
- Other duties as assigned
Graduation from Senior High school or equivalent supplemented by an Associate’s degree in accounting or a related field and two years of responsible supervisory experience in accounting or bookkeeping or any combination of skills, knowledge and abilities that meet these requirements.
