This travel role focuses on Progressive Care (PCU) and Oncology nursing within a mixed acuity unit, offering exposure to trauma, complex oncology diagnoses, and specialized therapies such as chemotherapy administration. Schedule/Hours:

• 36 hours per week, 13-week assignment
• 12-hour shifts (variety: days, nights, partial coverage)
• Every other weekend required

Qualifications:

• Active RN license and minimum 1 year recent PCU and Oncology experience
• BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required
• ONS/ONCC Chemotherapy certification required
• Willingness to take and pass an open book skills exam (90%+ required)
• Driver's license for compliance with travel requirements
• Ability to float to PCU or Med-Surg units as needed
• Strong teamwork, adaptability, and patient-centered focus

Responsibilities:

• Provide specialized care for adult oncology and trauma patients
• Titrate drips (insulin, cardizem), administer chemotherapy, manage IV pumps, and use specialty lift equipment
• Perform ventilator and advanced hemodynamic monitoring (training provided)
• Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team including PT/OT, case managers, educators, and social workers
• Foster a culture of respect and inclusivity through compassionate patient interactions
