Position Summary
The Reliability Trainer (Electrical) is responsible for implementing and improving maintenance practices at the facility. The role focuses on developing site-wide technical capability, coordinating training programs, and ensuring that employees possess the technical skills required for reliability and operations teams. The position reports to the Reliability Manager and works with platform teams, hourly and salaried leaders, and other internal stakeholders across the plant.
Key Responsibilities- Achieve objectives aligned to the facility and asset(s) (SQDCP).
- Serve as owner of the site Maintenance & Reliability capability matrix and training plan and schedule.
- Serve as key contact for training materials and related questions.
- Update and maintain documentation for technical training on a routine basis.
- Facilitate site meetings and governance processes related to Maintenance & Reliability training.
- Work with site scheduling to plan training in the most effective manner.
- Manage the Reliability new‑hire onboarding plan and necessary documentation.
- Act as key contact for training plans developed for projects at the site.
- Lead continuous improvement initiatives for facility training materials and practices.
- Provide technical and on‑the‑job training to technicians, apprentices, and other in‑house technical positions.
- Mentor and conduct one‑to‑one sessions to address learning gaps.
- Identify additional training opportunities in collaboration with maintenance technicians.
- Coordinate in‑house, vendor, or local trade school training classes for maintenance teams.
- Deliver project‑related training as assigned.
- Provide off‑hour support for escalations, including phone and in‑person assistance.
- Demonstrate leadership, communication, analytical, and planning skills to support operational effectiveness.
- Associate’s degree in Electrical/Electronic Technology and a minimum of 5+ years of industrial electrical maintenance experience.
- Basic computer knowledge, mechanical aptitude, and solid math skills.
- Ability to pass pre‑employment assessment, pre‑employment drug and background screening, and a pre‑hire Physical Abilities Test (PAT).
- Familiarity with the Principal Accountabilities outlined above.
- For internal K‑C applicants:
Associate’s degree and 5+ years of industrial electrical experience
* or* 5+ years of Kimberly‑Clark maintenance experience as an electrical technician. - No Performance Improvement Plan at the time of application.
- No Written Warning (Level2) or higher within the year prior to the posting expiration date.
- Computer assessment required (to be coordinated with the GPO team).
- Not eligible for the sign‑on bonus.
