Plant Accountant

We have an excellent opportunity for a Plant Accountant in the Pasadena/Bayport/Clear Lake area of Houston.

This role is with a small JV chemical manufacturing site (70 employees) and reports directly to the Controller. The position covers GL, AP, billing, sales/use tax, cost reporting, fixed assets, capital projects, reconciliations, month‑end close, and audit support. It reports to the Controller and could be attractive for someone who wants more scope and influence in a leaner plant environment.

The most interesting part may be the upside. Leadership would like someone who can learn the plant and potentially grow into the Controller role within the next few years.

We’re interested in someone with solid accounting depth in manufacturing, ideally 5 or more years, and a Bachelors degree in Accounting. It’s a lean team, so they need someone who’s comfortable being hands‑on and can wear more than one hat. This also gives the role good visibility and a meaningful pathway for advancement. Site leadership would like to hire someone who can do the job well now and potentially grow into a larger accounting role over time.
