Electrical Maintenance Specialist

A chemical company near Beaumont needs an electrical reliability/maintenance specialist.

This is a multi-faceted position working primarily in power systems.

This is highly independent position to maintain and troubleshoot industrial electrical distribution systems and equipment including:
Substations, Breakers, Switchgear, UPS systems and Transformers, synchronous motors up to 30,000 hp, with voltages 4.1kv to 138kv.

• Experience working with at least medium voltage
• Maintenance and troubleshoot switch gear, relays, drops, substations
• Maintenance, repair, NDT, of the power systems that run a plant
• Must not need a visa now or in the future to legally work in the U.S.

• In-operation person that "does the work alone or with techs";
• Work in/around switch gear, transformers, substations, boxes, drops, UPS, etc
• Experience working with large motors - over 30,000HP.
• Plan, schedule, perform, preventative maintenance, NDT, oil analysis, etc, on all of the above
• Assist in TAR planning
• Planning and executing all levels of work; coordinating as needed with ops, engineering, etc

Specific education/certifications/licenses in order of preference:

• Licensed journeyman electrician
• Associates or bachelors in electrical engineering technology or similar

• Must have at least 5 years with medium voltage
• Extensive experience in preventative and predictive maintenance/reliability with noted electrical systems.
• Significant in-operation experience; not a desk position!
• Experience in chemical plants, oil/gas processing and refining, petrochem, utilities/cogen, etc
• Able to work in the U.S. without sponsorship or visa now or at any time in the future.

Salary position - $90k - $115k, OT and pickup
