This role will play a crucial role in the manufacturing decision-making process, specifically in relation to accounting, finance, controls, and the business environment. The individual will partner directly with the Bayport PO/TBA manufacturing management teams under the direction of the Manager, Site Controlling for Bayport.
Logistics, Growth & Development- This position will be afforded the opportunity to work and network with various cross-functional organizational levels (including management) across the manufacturing, finance and business organizations.
- This position will have various opportunities to explore leadership, growth and development experiences, including working on leveraging initiatives within various dynamic team environments.
- This position will provide cross training with team members for enrichment and backup capabilities.
- This role has assigned office space within the BPC Admin building and therefore will be onsite four days per week.
- Encompasses all things Finance-related for the PO/TBA/RTBE Manufacturing sites.
- Providing key information on historical and forward-looking trends and related cost analysis at the micro and macro level.
- Guides the following processes: annual Performance Planning, site forecasting, Long Range Planning (LRP) functions, monthly cost reviews, Asset Strategy, internal controls and compliance with SOx, classification of costs, contract review, physical inventory and PPE inventory observations, VEP reviews and approvals, various audit functions including audit support for turnarounds and other major site projects, as well as other financial support for the manufacturing site.
- This role requires a strong analytical mindset. While there will be monthly transactions that need to take place, the true value brought by this person will be partnerships within the site leadership team and in analytics that help drive decision-making.
- A Bachelor’s degree with a major in accounting, finance or other related business degree is required.
- Minimum of 8-10 years of experience in financial or manufacturing accounting.
- ERP and data retrieval / analysis experience preferably with SAP and One Stream.
- Highly self-sufficient and knowledgeable and able to employ quality analytics to facilitate: (1) making decisions (2) providing quality information to allow management to make sound decisions and (3) serving as a resource / mentor for other analysts within Manufacturing, Controlling, & Analysis (MC&A).
