Job Scope
The position reports to the Warehouse Supervisor and will support warehouse raw material and finish products functions. Individuals in this role should be extremely detail oriented and possess good problem-solving skills. It is also expected that warehouse specialist has adequate physical strength to successfully unload shipments.
Essential Responsibilities- Coordinate domestic and international shipments for raw materials, intermediates, drug substance, and drug product
- Manage freight forwarders and carriers; monitor shipment status and proactively resolve issues
- Prepare, review, and maintain shipping and customs documentation
- Support temperature‑controlled, time‑sensitive, and high‑value shipments
- Ensure logistics activities comply with GMP/GDP requirements and internal SOPs
- Work closely with Manufacturing, QA, QC, Procurement, and Project teams to align shipment schedules
- Track logistics costs and support cost control and optimization initiatives
- Bachelor’s degree in supply chain, Logistics, Business, Life Sciences, or related field is preferred
- Approximately 5 years of logistics or supply chain experience, preferably within CDMO, biotech, pharma, or life sciences industries
- Solid experience with international shipping, customs clearance, and freight forwarder management
- Familiarity with regulated environments (GMP/GDP)
- Strong coordination, communication, and problem‑solving skills
- Detail-oriented with strong documentation discipline
- Ability to manage multiple shipments and priorities independently
- Proficiency in ERP systems and Microsoft Excel
Location:
Pennington, New Jersey (full‑time onsite). Pay range: $65,000 – $75,000 annually.
