Penn United Technologies, Inc. is now accepting applications for a full-time Administrative Assistant II to work as a member of our Carbide Operations team. This person will work in a fast‑paced manufacturing environment to provide daily administrative and customer service support to include order entry, contract reviews, clerical support, and other basic tasks to support the team and ensure the smooth flow of work.

Responsibilities
  • Perform data and order entry. Track jobs from order entry to completion. Provide related control, follow‑up and troubleshooting.
  • Use computer to log ordering and receiving and to retrieve and enter data.
  • Perform contract reviews.
  • Assist in coordinating the proper flow of work and ensure that all necessary paperwork accompanies each job (order entry, work orders, blueprints, shipping data, etc.).
  • Perform a variety of clerical duties such as typing, copying and compiling data, maintaining and filing records and reports, and handling paperwork.
  • Assist with basic tasks where requested and perform other related support duties such as shipping, inspecting, entering orders, inventory counts, etc.
  • Prepare, issue, and send out packaging slips, mail, invoices, bills, receipts, etc. related to business activities.
  • Prepare and submit shipments to shipping department.
  • May prepare and submit purchase orders for suppliers.
  • Assist with inventory management and control.
Qualifications
  • Strong typing and data entry skills.
  • High degree of accuracy, attention to detail and deadlines.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office, Outlook, internet navigation and able to quickly learn and use required computer software.
  • Able to follow directions, complete tasks.
  • Committed to team development and exceptional customer service.
  • Excellent organizational skills, self‑motivated, able to effectively manage multiple tasks.
  • Strong ability to professionally communicate using both verbal and written skills.
Education and Experience
  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • 1-4 years prior administrative experience in a manufacturing setting strongly preferred.
  • Associate degree in business administration, office management or related field a plus.
