As a small precision machine shop, every machinist plays a critical role in delivering accurate, on-time parts. This position directly impacts quality, efficiency, and customer satisfaction.

- The Work You’ll Be Doing
In this role, you will:
Set up and operate CNC mills, lathes, and/or Swiss machines
Load tools, set offsets, and prepare machines for production runs
Read and interpret blueprints, GD&T, and job travelers
Perform first-article and in-process inspections
Maintain tight tolerances and verify part quality using precision measuring tools
Make basic machine adjustments and offset changes as needed
Troubleshoot machining issues related to tooling, finishes, and tolerances
Communicate clearly with teammates to prevent quality or production issues

- ⚙️ Machines, Controls & Shop Capabilities
You’ll work with a mix of CNC equipment, including:
Machines: CNC Mills, CNC Lathes, Swiss Machines
Controls: Fanuc-style controls (or similar)
Inspection Tools: Calipers, micrometers, height gauges, indicators, gauges
(Exact machines vary by job — versatility is valued.)

Aluminum
Steel

Other production materials as required

- ✅ What We’re Looking For
Required:
2+ years of CNC machining experience in a production or job shop environment
Experience operating CNC mills, lathes, and/or Swiss machines
Ability to read blueprints and understand GD&T
Strong understanding of tooling, offsets, and in-process inspection
Comfortable holding tolerances and inspecting parts independently
Reliable attendance and strong work ethic
Pride in producing quality parts — not just running machines
Preferred (Not Required):
CNC setup experience from start to first article
Ability to load tools, set tool lengths/diameters, and work offsets
Experience troubleshooting chatter, finishes, and tool wear
CAM software exposure or CNC programming experience
Ability to edit or adjust G-code at the machine
