St. Mary Medical Center, a member of Trinity Health, Mid-Atlantic, is looking for a Part Time Security Officer to join our team!

Position Purpose

* The Security Officer is responsible for the security of hospital employees, patients/families, visitors, and property.

As a Security Officer you will:

* Serve our customers and provide high quality service with care and courtesy.

* Treat customers/patients in a respectful manner.

* Report all accidents or incidents promptly.

* Correct and/or report any potential safety hazard you see.

* Take ownership for a safe, comfortable and clean environment

* Makes appropriate safety and security rounds.

* Maintains watch on the employee parking lot.

* Opens/locks buildings, as appropriate.

* Use/extinguish premises light & turn in a list of defective lights, as appropriate.

* Conduct/assist with missing person reports.

* Provide escort services to visitors.

* Maintain smooth control of traffic.

* Assist motorists involved in vehicle breakdowns.

* Maintains safety practices in the area of his/her assignment.

Has oversight of the SOC (Security Operations Center)

Handles Duties associated with the Operation of Metal Detector and Wanding

Minimum Qualifications:

* High school diploma or GED

* Valid driver's license with a good driving record

* 1-2 years customer service-related experience in a hospital setting

* Prior Hospital Security Officer experience preferred

* Fingerprints and background check during the hiring process
