Job Description & How to Apply Below

We’re a Forbes-recognized wealth management team with decades of experience helping clients connect their values with their financial future—and we’re growing. We’re looking for an Associate Financial Planner who is equal parts analytical and people-oriented: someone who gets energized by digging into a complex financial plan just as much as they enjoy a genuine conversation with a client.

In this role, you’ll sit at the intersection of financial planning and investment operations—building and updating comprehensive client plans, supporting the advisor team with investment services, and over time, stepping into more direct client relationship work. If you’re someone who loves staying sharp on market trends, sweats the details, and wants to grow within a high-integrity, client-first team, this could be a great fit.

What

You’ll Do
  • Build and update customized financial planning analyses for both new prospects and existing clients in advance of review meetings
  • Become an expert in our planning platform, developing comprehensive strategies tailored to each client’s goals and life stage
  • Create client-facing materials including meeting agendas, written recommendations, and planning flowcharts
  • Connect directly with clients as needed to gather financial data and ensure planning analyses are accurate and complete
  • Review advisor meeting notes for alignment with developed plans and flag any gaps or follow-up items
  • Partner closely with our head of investments to deliver cohesive planning support to the advisor team and clients
Investment Operations
  • Process service requests for existing investment accounts, handling day-to-day needs with accuracy and urgency
  • Support onboarding of new investment clients—completing account paperwork, processing rollovers, and getting clients set up smoothly
  • Execute trades on behalf of clients as needed, including model portfolio management and rebalancing
  • Assist with asset distributions for client retirement accounts, including RMD management and cash distribution/DCA scheduling
  • Support 401(k) and other retirement plan services
  • Help prepare and review investment proposals for prospective and existing clients
  • Manage investment loan accounts and assist with the Annuity Expense Analyzer
  • Field the investment services phone line and coordinate follow-through on client requests
Client Engagement (with Growth Opportunity)
  • Participate in client review meetings and advanced planning conversations as you build your knowledge of client relationships
  • Attend first-statement review meetings with new clients to support a strong onboarding experience
  • Grow over time into an expanded client-facing role as trust and expertise develop within the team
What We’re Looking For

Required Qualifications
  • 3+ years of relevant experience in wealth management or a closely related financial services role
  • Series 7 license (active)
Preferred Qualifications
  • Advanced degree (finance, economics, business, or related field) preferred
  • Industry designations such as CFP, RICP, WMCP, or similar are a meaningful plus
  • Hands-on experience with financial planning software and investment platforms
Skills & Characteristics
  • Sharp attention to detail—you catch things others miss and take pride in accuracy
  • Strong follow-through; once you own something, it gets done—no reminders needed
  • High sense of urgency; you understand that timely execution matters for clients and advisors alike
  • Genuine warmth and ease with people—you can move from a spreadsheet to a client conversation without missing a beat
  • Comfortable in a role built on consistency and process, with a steady, reliable presence the team can count on
  • Keen interest in financial markets; you stay current on industry trends and actually enjoy it
  • Collaborative by nature—you work well alongside advisors, operations staff, and clients
Why You’ll Love It Here
  • Join a Best-In-State Wealth Management Team with a long-standing reputation for ethics, integrity, and client care
  • Work alongside experienced advisors and a tight-knit team that invests in each other’s growth
  • A clear path forward—this role is designed to grow with you, with real opportunity to expand into client relationship management
  • Be part of meaningful work: helping real people build the financial security to live the lives they’ve planned for

If you’re a detail-driven financial professional who’s ready to grow in a collaborative, client-first environment—we’d love to connect.
