Salary - £15,392 per annum for the first 12 months, then National Minimum Wage thereafter

We are looking for a motivated and enthusiastic Motor Vehicle Technician Apprentice to join our Motor Vehicle team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with industry experience who is keen to move into education and training while continuing to develop professionally, or maybe you have just achieved your level 2 in Motor vehicle and want to develop your existing skills.

Working alongside experienced lecturers and technicians, you will support learners in practical workshop environments, help maintain industry‑standard facilities and develop the skills needed to become an effective trainer and mentor.

About the role

As an Motor Vehicle Technician Apprentice, you will:

  • Support lecturers and students during practical workshop sessions
  • Assist learners in developing hands‑on automotive skills
  • Help prepare and maintain tools, equipment and workshop areas
  • Ensure workshops remain clean, organised and safe at all times
  • Assist with stock control, inventories and equipment checks
  • Support students during practical assessments and activities
  • Develop knowledge and skills in coaching, training and learner support
  • Learn how to deliver practical demonstrations and underpinning knowledge sessions
  • Assist with maintaining health and safety standards, including COSHH requirements
  • Work closely with staff to support an engaging and positive learning environment

You will receive training and support to develop your teaching, assessment and technical skills as part of the apprenticeship programme.
