Learning Support Assistant - Peterborough

95-110 per day Weekly Pay Term Time Only Full-Time Monday to Friday

Tradewind Recruitment are currently working with a welcoming and inclusive primary school in Peterborough that is looking to appoint a committed Learning Support Assistant to join their supportive team as soon as possible.

The Role – Learning Support Assistant
  • Supporting pupils on a 1:1 basis and in small group interventions
  • Assisting the class teacher with the day-to-day running of the classroom
  • Adapting learning activities to meet individual pupil needs
  • Supporting pupils with SEND and challenging behaviour
  • Working collaboratively with teaching staff and the SENCo
  • Helping to create a safe, engaging, and inclusive learning environment
  • Encouraging positive behaviour and emotional wellbeing
The Ideal Candidate Will:
  • Have previous experience working as a Learning Support Assistant within KS1 and KS2
  • Have experience supporting children with SEND and additional needs
  • Be confident working on a 1:1 basis and with small intervention groups
  • Be passionate about education and supporting children's development
  • Have strong communication and behaviour management skills
  • Be available Monday to Friday, 8:30am-3:30pm
