Order Processor – Windows & Doors Manufacturing
Overview
We are looking for a detail-oriented and organised Order Processor to join a busy manufacturing team within the windows and doors industry. This role is key to ensuring that customer orders are processed accurately, efficiently, and in line with production schedules. You will act as the link between sales, customers, and the factory, ensuring all specifications are correct and deadlines are met.
Key Responsibilities
* Accurately process customer orders for windows, doors, and associated products
* Interpret technical drawings, specifications, and measurements
* Input orders into internal systems ensuring all details are correct (sizes, materials, glazing, finishes, hardware, etc.)
* Liaise with customers, sales teams, and production departments to resolve queries
* Ensure orders meet manufacturing and compliance requirements
* Monitor order progress and update customers on lead times and delivery schedules
* Identify and rectify any discrepancies or errors before production
* Coordinate amendments, reworks, or urgent orders where required
* Maintain clear and accurate documentation for all processed orders
Key Skills & Experience
* Previous experience in order processing within windows, doors, or construction manufacturing (preferred)
* Strong understanding of window and door products (uPVC, aluminium, timber, glazing systems)
* Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications
* High level of attention to detail and accuracy
* Strong organisational and time management skills
* Good communication skills with the ability to liaise across departments
* Confident using IT systems and order processing software
* Ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
Desirable Experience
* Knowledge of fabrication processes for windows and doors
* Experience with industry software (e.g. Logi Kal, Window Designer, First Degree)
* Understanding of building regulations and compliance standards
Working Environment
* Office-based role within a manufacturing setting
* Regular interaction with production, sales, and logistics teams
* Fast-paced environment with deadlines driven by production schedules
Summary
This role would suit someone who is detail-focused, technically minded, and experienced within the window and door industry, looking to play a key role in ensuring smooth order flow from customer enquiry through to production
