Job Description

At Crown, we take pride in producing high quality printed and decorated cans using industry‑leading technology. We are looking for a proactive and skilled Printers to ensure the safe, efficient, and reliable operation of our decorating equipment. This is a shift‑based role working a 4 on 4 off rotation across days and nights.

• Running, setting, adjusting and maintaining machinery to produce high quality cans to ISO 9001 standards.
• Showing a commitment to health and safety, quality, and continuous improvement activities by collaborating with stakeholders.
• Maintaining raw material supply and inspecting materials for defects.
• Continuing a good standard of housekeeping and supporting the reduction of downtime across the lines by diagnosing and resolving faults.
• Perform routine, preventative, and corrective maintenance on printers, coaters, ovens, and associated equipment.
• Set up machines for different can sizes and designs, ensuring accurate registration, colour matching, and print quality.
• Monitor machine performance and product quality, adjusting as needed.
• Conduct visual quality checks and correct defects.
• Keep accurate maintenance and equipment performance records.

You have experience in a production, engineering, or manufacturing environment, ideally with exposure to printing or decorating processes. You are confident operating and adjusting machinery, with strong attention to detail and a commitment to producing high quality work. You demonstrate a strong commitment to quality, accuracy, and safe working practices always. You can prioritise tasks independently, communicate clearly with colleagues, and work effectively as part of a team.

• Level 3 City & Guilds / Apprenticeship, or equivalent, in Offset Printing.

• Experience with printing or decorating machinery.
• Experience in high‑volume manufacturing.
• Understanding of quality control and visual inspection.
