Dispatch Coordinator – Tallington
Reports to:
Logistics Supervisor – Great Britain
Role Overview: The Dispatch Coordinator is responsible for coordinating and controlling the daily dispatch of finished goods from the Tallington site. The role ensures customer orders are shipped accurately, on time, and in full, while maintaining high standards of documentation, communication, safety, and compliance. The position plays a key role in supporting production flow, customer satisfaction, and site logistics performance.
What the Dispatch Coordinator will be doing:- Meeting all dispatch requirements for our site based in Tallington.
- Generation of POs to facilitate haulier payment.
- Supporting management in processing works orders from orders to dispatch.
- Controlling and managing the orderbook on the ERP (Epicor), ensuring orders are released for pick, pack & dispatch at the correct time.
- Planning and organising transport to ensure that customer orders are delivered on time and in full using haulier portals to book transport and input relevant order information.
- Provision of high‑level administration of all relevant paperwork accurately and on time in support of the Site Operations.
- Collection, coordination and reporting of data from the ERP (Epicor) system and compliance with all ERP processes.
- Developing and delivering detailed communications with other departments across the organisation.
- Liaising closely with plant management and colleagues at all levels across multiple functions, including Operations (pickers, loaders & assembly) and Commercial/Customer Service/Sales when booking and organising transport and providing all relevant system documentation.
- Ensuring all SOX compliance procedures are adhered to within the Despatch department.
- Generating export paperwork, including commercial invoices from the ERP, for orders for overseas customers.
- Adherence to Company Health & Safety, Quality and Compliance policies and procedures.
- All other duties as deemed necessary by the Site Operations Manager, including covering operations FLT, yard and warehouse duties as and when required.
- Experience in a dispatch, logistics, warehouse or supply chain coordination role, ideally within a manufacturing environment.
- IT‑literate with experience using Excel and Microsoft Office (particularly Excel).
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
- High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Confident communicator, able to liaise effectively with internal teams and external transport partners.
- Knowledge of transport documentation and export procedures is desirable.
- Experience working with ERP systems in a fast‑paced manufacturing environment is desirable.
