We are seeking a passionate and dedicated English Lecturer to join a college in Peterlee this September. This is a full‑time position running until the Christmas break, with a strong possibility of a permanent opportunity for the right candidate.

• Deliver high‑quality, engaging English lessons to Key Stage 5
• Plan, prepare and assess lessons in line with curriculum requirements
• Differentiate teaching strategies to meet the needs of diverse learners
• Manage classroom behaviour effectively to create a positive learning environment
• Monitor and track student progress, providing feedback and support where needed
• Contribute to the wider college community and uphold high educational standards

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or a degree in English
• Proven experience teaching English at KS5 level
• Strong classroom and behaviour management skills
• Ability to plan and deliver creative, engaging, and well‑structured lessons
• Commitment to supporting student achievement and progression

• Full‑time, consistent working hours (8:30 am‑4:30 pm, Monday to Friday)
