TDI Technologies, Inc. (TDI) is seeking candidates for a Test Engineer position. This position
will plan, coordinate, execute, and manage test efforts in support of surface
ship control, network, and interface testing. The candidate will troubleshoot existing systems, propose improvements
to test processes and methods, and provide insights on system procedures,
documentation, and schematics. This position
will require test support, documentation, configuration control, and analysis
of failures for deployed systems and hardware in design. This position will support fielded Machinery
Control Systems on Naval surface vessels and will require working with software
and hardware teams to distinguish root cause of failures, systems engineers to
identify requirements and solutions. The
candidate must be comfortable working with electrical, computer, and mechanical
verification (V&V) of machinery control system releases for surface
a daily basis with a variety of stakeholders: project managers, software
engineers, interfacing groups, program managers, etc.

rotating machinery as part of test operations

Education and Experience
of Science Degree in an engineering discipline is preferred
years of experience as an engineer or electrical technician, tracing signals,
diagnosing electrical failures
or more years of experience testing software
1. Successful applicants must either have an active government
security clearance or the ability to receive approval upon position acceptance.
2. Must have a valid US passport or the ability to obtain one upon
SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
skills, including the ability to use an electrical multimeter and
principles to include understanding current, voltage, power, resistance,
continuity, and grounding
Microsoft Office applications
experience with machinery control system installation, operational
testing, troubleshooting, and repair is preferred
machinery control systems is preferred
software based analysis tools including network traffic analyzers (such as
Wireshark, HyperTerminal, Putty, or similar) is preferred
analyzers is preferred
This position may
require up to 5% travel.
