Job Summary
Our client is seeking an Accounts Receivable Specialist responsible for accurate and timely processing of remittances and reconciliation of accounts under the guidance of the Revenue Cycle Manager. The position involves processing electronic and paper remittances, posting patient payments, denials, adjustments, contractual allowances, and recoupments. The role requires a professional individual with robust knowledge of medical and behavioral billing.
Key Responsibilities
- Process electronic and paper remittances, including posting patient payments, denials, adjustments, contractual allowances, and recoupments.
- Reconcile daily bank reporting to receivable accounts, resolving unposted ERA line items.
- Accurately and timely post patient and insurance payments, calculate and enter contractual adjustments and patient discounts.
- Identify, report, and escalate issues, discrepancies, and opportunities for improvement to management.
- Train and mentor teammates.
- 2+ years of A/R (Collections) Experience
- Explanation Of Benefits (EOB) Experience
- Next Gen Experience
- Understanding of behavioral health terminology
- FQHC Experience
- AHCCCS Experience
- Commercial Insurance Experience
- Medical Billing and Coding certificate
Requires personal computer equipment, preferably Windows for better system compatibility.
