Overview
Job Title: Service Now Staff Engineer II
Location: Block 23
What you'll do: As a Staff Engineer II you'll lead strategic planning for technical solutions, design reliable engineering practices, and maintain technical documentation. Your focus will be on IT Service Management (ITSM), IT Asset Management (ITAM), IT Operations Management (ITOM), and Configuration Management Database (CMDB).
Responsibilities- Lead the strategic planning of projects as they relate to technical solution design.
- Design and implement engineering principles aimed at reliability practices and sound recovery procedures.
- Design transaction-specific application performance monitoring metrics that can be captured and passed to business partners.
- Develop and maintain technical documentation, including system configurations and procedures, while ensuring compliance with IT policies, procedures, and industry standards. Develop desktop procedures when needed that others follow.
- In addition to general responsibilities, focus on Service Now areas such as ITSM, ITAM, ITOM, and CMDB.
- IT Service Management (ITSM):
Develop, configure, and maintain Service Now ITSM applications to streamline and optimize service delivery, including incident, problem, change, and request management modules, with emphasis on user experience and integration with other IT tools. - IT Asset Management (ITAM):
Manage Service Now ITAM applications to track assets throughout their lifecycle, including asset tracking, inventory management, and compliance with policies and standards. - IT Operations Management (ITOM):
Leverage Service Now ITOM applications to monitor and manage the health and performance of IT services and infrastructure, automate routine tasks, orchestrate workflows, and proactively resolve issues. - Configuration Management Database (CMDB):
Maintain and optimize the Service Now CMDB to ensure accurate and up-to-date configuration data, managing relationships between configuration items and data integrity to support decision-making and incident resolution.
- 7+ years of related experience in IT application support, IT development, IT networking, or similar field.
- Bachelor's degree in a related field required.
- Previous leadership experience preferred.
- Intermediate to advanced knowledge of general Financial Services or Banking is preferred.
- Advanced knowledge of applicable regulatory and legal compliance obligations, rules and regulations, industry standards and practices.
- Advanced proven experience in leading cross-functional teams and managing multiple projects simultaneously, including pipeline development and leveraging Azure Dev Ops.
- Advanced ability to see the big picture and align projects with organizational goals; capable of leading and motivating cross-functional teams; skilled at resolving conflicts and mitigating risks at the project level; proficient in governance patterns tied to intake, technical reviews and architectural compliance.
- Advanced speaking and writing communication skills.
- May require up to 25% travel.
