Position: Principal Legal Operations Contract Excellence Specialist

Job Description

As a Contract Legal Ops Specialist, you will enhance the efficiency of our legal operations by managing agreements such as non-disclosure agreements, and leading change management for Honeywell’s contract management application. You will evaluate and prioritize change requests, document approvals, and coordinate with IT to implement process improvements, serving as a key link between legal and technology teams during our digital transformation.

You will report directly to our Sr Director Legal Operations and you’ll work out of our Phoenix, AZ location on a Hybrid work schedule.

Responsibilities
  • Oversee change management process for contract management application
  • Test new functionality of Contract Lifecycle Management (CLM) app prior to roll-out, including use of Artificial Intelligence
  • Partner with Legal, Procurement, Sales, Finance, and IT to maintain contract playbooks, templates, clause libraries and approval workflows in the CLM app
  • Improve contract data quality, coordinating with functional representatives and contract owners
  • Serve as primary functional liaison for CLM vendor management, including roadmap input, release planning, issue escalation, and support documentation
  • Identify and drive automation opportunities across contracting workflows, including intake, approvals, clause selection, AI-assisted review, and routing logic
  • Serve as escalation focal for negotiation of non-disclosure agreements
Qualifications
  • Six (6) years of experience in contract processes, change management, project management, or data management
  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Business, Engineering, Law or a related field

  • Proven legal operations and compliance management experience.
  • Experience in project management.
  • Capable of independent work and handling multiple priorities quickly.
  • Experience in enterprise change management, including system upgrades and integrations, and interacting with Information Technology professionals for business requirements and user acceptance testing.
  • Understanding of contract law and risk management.
  • Skill in contract negotiation and drafting.
  • Excellent analytical abilities with strong attention to detail.
