Custodian, Yavapai Hotel

The opportunity

Delaware North Parks and Resorts is hiring a seasonal, full time Custodian to join our team at Yavapai Hotel in Grand Canyon, Arizona.

As a Custodian, you will be responsible for performing custodial duties such as dusting, mopping, vacuuming, cleaning restrooms, restocking paper and soap supplies and keeping the property neat, clean, and free from clutter.

$15.15 - $15.15 / hour

• Sweep and clean facilities, including bathrooms, carpets, walls, windows, break rooms, offices, and all other duties as assigned
• Pressure wash concrete surfaces to remove dirt and chewing gum, etc.
• Stock closets and replenish paper products in the restrooms
• Respond to guest inquiries, providing accurate, courteous information
• Follow safety and environmental business practices and keep the work area in a clean and orderly condition

• 6 months' experience in custodial and related services preferred
• Must be able to read, comprehend, and follow written instructions
• No high school diploma or GED required

• This position requires the ability to lift up to 40 pounds and reach above head level
• May be required to work twelve to fifty feet (or more) above the ground on ladders or high lift/scissor lifts
• Ability to stand/walk for extended periods of time
• Must be able to work inside and outside with exposure to heat, dirt, noise, fumes, wetness, paint, and solvents
