Senior Director of National Sales Job Responsibilities:

  • Work closely with Vice President of Residential Sales and Chief Operating Officer on implementation and execution of sales plan
  • Provide supervision to regional directors
  • Support and guide each regional director in alignment with Company’s sales strategies and funnels.
  • Develop best practices to help regional directors and account managers achieve KPIs.
  • Responsible for the development of tools and collateral to help leaders improve their source of sales
  • Identify source of growth opportunities to drive customer acquisition and retention
  • Establish sales objectives based on sales quota set by Executive Team
  • Work in conjunction with other key departments in development of sales related training and resources.
  • Analyze sales and marketing campaigns to determine best strategies for growth and retention
  • Plans, monitors, and appraises regional director job results
  • Provide accurate reports on team outcomes and corrective plans of action
  • Work with key partners to identify and share best practices, drivers of business success and customer experience.
  • Perform other tasks assigned by Vice President or COO
  • Senior Director of Sales Qualifications / Skills:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business Management, or comparable related experience.
  • At least seven years of management experience, demonstrating the ability to lead a dynamic organization to achieve productivity objectives.
  • Excellent human relations and outreach skills including the ability to interact with management staff and interpreters with various backgrounds and expertise levels.
  • Sales experience with a demonstrated successful track record.
  • American Sign Language (ASL) proficiency, extensive knowledge of the deaf culture, and familiarity with products and services that support the communications needs of deaf people.
  • Must be a self-starter who can work independently without close supervision; and a highly motivated and self-confident sales professional who is comfortable approaching people in a variety of settings.
  • Skilled in using specialized software related to departmental operations including database, Internet, spreadsheet, instant messaging, presentation, and word processing programs.
  • Ability to communicate extensively and effectively through a variety of channels, including email and the Internet; and to present information and respond to questions from clients, customers, managers, and the community.
  • Fluent writing skills and the ability to prepare and deliver high level presentations to senior management teams.
  • Planning and management skills to establish priorities and effectively supervise and develop assigned staff to attain optimum skill and performance levels.
  • Familiarity with Federal Communications Commission (FCC) Regulations and Registry of Interpreters for the Deaf (RID) standards.
  • Time management skills to handle multiple, competing priorities and work effectively under pressure.
  • Basic mathematical skills including the ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, and percentages.
  • Knowledge of departmental operations and organizational policies, processes and procedures, and ability to establish and communicate goals and priorities.
  • Strong Data Analysis and Forecasting experience in a sales environment.
  • Human relations skills to build effective working relationships with company staff, contractors, customers, community groups and individuals.
  • Work environment:

    Work is performed in a business office environment. Travel to company, customer and vendor sites, including some that are out of state will be required.

    Employees may experience the following physical demands for extended periods of time:

  • Sitting, standing and walking (95-100%)
  • Keyboarding (40-60%)
  • Viewing computer monitor, videophone, and cell phone (40-60%)
  • Lifting computers and other equipment.
  • Position may require some travel.
