Role OverviewJoin the Federal Reserve Law Enforcement team as a sworn Police Officer protecting one of the nation’s most vital financial institutions. You will serve as a frontline defender of five Federal Reserve locations and act as a respected ambassador in the communities we serve.
Core Responsibilities- Monitor and operate bank security and life‑safety systems, including access control, alarm systems, screening equipment, and video surveillance.
- Control and monitor entry to restricted areas.
- Operate specialized law‑enforcement and emergency equipment, including firearms.
- Conduct security patrols and surveillance monitoring.
- Respond to emergencies with an immediate law‑enforcement presence.
- Evaluate situations requiring security intervention and direct appropriate responses using sound judgment and proper force protocols.
- Ensure compliance with mandated security procedures while maintaining excellent customer service.
- Document incidents thoroughly and prepare clear, concise reports.
- Perform federal law‑enforcement duties as authorized under Section
11(q) of the Federal Reserve Act.

- Age 21 or older.
- High‑school diploma or GED.
- Proficient with PCs, email, Microsoft Office, and law‑enforcement equipment/technology systems.
- Excellent judgment in stressful situations.
- Strong conflict‑resolution and communication skills.
- Outstanding customer‑service skills.
- Valid driver’s license.
- Clean criminal history record (no felony convictions, no court‑ordered supervision/probation within the last 10years, no pending criminal charges).
- No domestic‑violence convictions that prohibit firearm possession.
- Physical capabilities to perform all essential job functions, including lifting 25–50lb (occasionally up to 100lb), standing, walking, sitting, climbing stairs, and occasionally running, crouching, or crawling.
- Will pass a comprehensive background investigation and color‑vision test (without the use of an X‑Chrome lens or other colored filters).
- Must be capable of carrying firearms and other law‑enforcement tools secured on a utility belt.
Must demonstrate the strength, stamina, agility, and balance needed to restrain resistant individuals and protect oneself and others from physical assaults. Must be able to stand, walk, sit, climb stairs, and occasionally run, crouch, or crawl.
Selection Process- Fitness‑for‑Duty physical examination.

- Completion of a six‑week Basic Law‑Enforcement course at a Federal Reserve Bank followed by Field Training.
- Note:
Qualified candidates may be placed on a waitlist for up to 12months or longer due to variable vacancy rates.
Base Salary Range: $65,740 – $71,276 (Phoenix). Final salary will be determined by individual background, experience, skills, internal equity, and market data.
