General Maintenance Technician

Working Hours

Monday-Friday 8:00am-4:30pm and work as needed.

General Maintenance Technician is responsible for performing a variety of critical tasks including troubleshooting and repairing multiple building/facilities items such as electrical, plumbing, HVAC, pneumatic tube system, hospital beds, and nurse call systems. Ensuring completion of assigned preventive maintenance tasks and coordinating specific craft activities with other Facilities Management team members.

• Education:
  
  High School diploma, GED, or equivalent preferred.
• Experience:
  
  Building/facilities maintenance preferred.
• Experience in general maintenance repairs, familiar with safety procedures, trained in safe operation of building maintenance equipment, and handling related chemicals such as solvents/degreasers.

• Coordinate repairs/work in departments and report status to involved parties.
• Troubleshoot and repair facilities equipment or systems, determining root causes of operating errors and using necessary tools.
• Provide legible, detailed, and accurate information on work orders/preventive maintenance forms.
• Complete maintenance tasks, facility preventive and corrective maintenance work orders.
• Maintain facility areas including patient rooms and common areas.
• Maintain records, update CMMS documentation, required maintenance logs, documents, manuals, drawings, and PM logs.
• Report to supervisor on a regular basis (daily) regarding conditions relative to general operations, safety, and day-to-day activities in the facility.
• Attend daily huddles with team during shift.

This job will be authorized 80.00 hours bi-weekly.
