Pain Management Nurse Practitioner/ Physician Assistant - Pinole, CA

Compensation: $170K - $195K Annually DOE

The Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant in this role will manage a diverse patient population, including a high volume of workers’ compensation cases and Medicare patients. The position involves treating a wide variety of patients with musculoskeletal, neuromuscular, and pain disorders, providing diagnostic evaluations, performing interventional pain management procedures, and developing tailored care plans that combine medication management with alternative therapies.

• Promotes and maintains patient health by providing medical services under the supervision of a physician.
• Work under the direction of a fellowship‑trained pain physician.
• Consider and work toward a long‑term plan for each patient while attending to immediate, visit‑specific needs.
• Interview and examine patients; review outside studies and medical histories.
• Treating a wide variety of patients with musculoskeletal, neuromuscular, and pain disorders.
• Interpret X‑rays, MRIs, CT scans, and other imaging.
• Document patient care services on the day of service.
• Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops, reviewing publications, establishing personal networks, and participating in professional societies.

• 2 years or more of clinical experience in pain management
• Graduate of an accredited NP program
• Current and unrestricted NP license in California
• National certification (AANP, ANCC, or NCCPA)
• Active and unrestricted DEA license
• Current BLS/CPR certification
• Experience with workers’ compensation cases is required
• Enrolled as a Medicare FFS provider
• Competency in patient assessment, diagnosis, and management of acute and chronic pain.
• Strong knowledge of evidence‑based pain management guidelines and regulations
• Excellent clinical, communication, and documentation skills
