We are partnering with a growing industrial organization that is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented General Ledger Accountant to join their corporate accounting team. This role offers strong exposure to month-end close, financial reporting, reconciliations, internal controls, and process improvement initiatives within a fast-paced environment.

The ideal candidate will have a blend of public accounting and corporate accounting experience, strong analytical skills, and the ability to work independently while collaborating across departments.

OVERVIEW OF THE SENIOR ACCOUNTANT ROLE:

• Prepare and post journal entries as part of the monthly close process
• Perform detailed account reconciliations and investigate variances or unusual activity
• Analyze balance sheet and income statement accounts to ensure accuracy and completeness
• Assist with intercompany accounting and reconciliations across multiple business units
• Support internal and external audit requests, including SOX compliance documentation
• Maintain compliance with U.S. GAAP and company internal control procedures
• Assist with financial reporting, ad hoc analysis, and special accounting projects
• Identify opportunities for process improvements and help streamline accounting workflows
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve accounting issues and improve reporting accuracy
• Meet critical month-end deadlines while maintaining a high level of accuracy and organization

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting required
• 3+ years of accounting experience, ideally a combination of public accounting and industry experience
• Experience with general ledger accounting, reconciliations, and month-end close
• Exposure to SOX compliance and internal controls preferred
• Strong Excel skills including Pivot Tables and VLOOKUPs
• ERP experience required;
  Oracle experience is a plus
• CPA, CMA, MBA, or progress toward certification is highly preferred
• Strong communication skills with the ability to interact across all levels of the organization
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a deadline-driven environment
