Bookkeeper

Pittsburgh, PA 15222 (Fully onsite)
$35-$45/hour

Our client is seeking an experienced Bookkeeper to join their team in a highly hands-on accounting role. This position will support the day-to-day financial operations of the organization and work closely with leadership to ensure accurate and timely accounting processes. The ideal candidate will be professional, detail-oriented, organized, and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment.

Bookkeeper Responsibilities
  • Handle accounts payable and accounts receivable functions
  • The Bookkeeper will perform bank and credit card reconciliations
  • Maintain accurate financial records and assist with general ledger activity
  • Prepare journal entries and support month-end close activities
  • The Bookkeeper will process cash applications and assist with collections
  • Maintain vendor records and communicate with vendors as needed
  • Assist with payroll processing and sales tax filings
  • The Bookkeeper will support financial reporting and audit preparation activities
  • Maintain accounting systems and ensure data accuracy
Qualifications of the Bookkeeper Role
  • Previous bookkeeping or accounting experience required
  • Strong understanding of AP, AR, and reconciliations
  • Quick Books Online experience required
  • Basic Excel skills required
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Professional communication skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
