Position: Engineering Planner (Project Engineer)

We are looking for an Engineering Planner (Project Engineer) to support a portfolio of over 50 programs and research & development efforts across military, civil, commercial space, missiles, missile defense, satellite surveillance, deep space exploration and manned flight missions.

Responsibilities
  • Proactively monitor team member workloads and track progress against tasks and labor capacity.
  • Prepare project metrics for analysis by Technical Leads and Management.
  • Drive advanced features of project planning and tracking tools, such as Microsoft Project and Jira.
  • Assist with proposal creation, leveraging data from past projects.
  • Set up development and project tracking infrastructure to ensure consistency and completeness.
  • Evolve department data collection and analysis from multiple tools into a unified database.
  • Perform administrative tasks such as contractor onboarding, status collection, and operations reviews as outlined by Management.
  • Communicate with ASIC/FPGA engineers, Technical Leads and Managers, understanding the vernacular and life cycle of semiconductor development.
Basic Qualifications
  • Experience or coursework in the design of FPGA and/or ASIC devices.
  • HDL programming experience with VHDL, Verilog, and/or System Verilog.
  • Willing and able to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret clearance; U.S. citizenship is required.
Desired Skills
  • Bachelor of Science or higher from an accredited college in Electrical Engineering or related discipline, or equivalent experience/combined education.
  • Experience in ASIC/FPGA life cycle (architecture, design, simulation, verification, validation, integration & test).
  • Knowledge of digital design, development and simulation.
  • Experience or knowledge of Microsoft Project, JIRA.
Security Clearance

This position requires a government security clearance. U.S. citizenship is required. Clearance level:
Secret.

  • Work Schedules:
    Standard 40‑hour week; condensed schedules may be available.

Compensation

Annual base salary range: $70,100 - $123,625 in select states; $80,600 - $139,840 in major metros.
