Technical Support, IT Support, HelpDesk/Support
We are seeking a Retail Technology Ambassador to serve as the onsite face of major retail technology rollouts during go lives and new site mobilizations. In this role, you will act as the bridge between the technology and the people using it: guests learning a new kiosk for the first time, location staff adapting to a changed workflow, and operators who do not have time to babysit the floor during a launch.
This is a customer facing, operationally embedded position. We are looking for someone who represents the brand to the public and feels like an extension of the internal team rather than an outsourced contractor. The ideal candidate is observant, professional, and capable of reading a floor in real time. When something technical goes sideways, you will triage the issue, elevate appropriately, and keep the operator focused on running their business.
CoreResponsibilities
- Spend 4 to 5 day stretches on site during retail technology deployments (kiosks, self checkout, POS, mobile ordering)
- Guide guests through new ordering processes, mobile pickup flows, and unfamiliar kiosk UX
- Coach location staff who are encountering changed systems for the first time
- Monitor floor flow, identify points of friction (signage gaps, UI confusion, common stumbles), and feed structured feedback back to the technical team
- Triage technical issues at the kiosk or POS level: basic troubleshooting, identifying whether a problem is hardware, software, connectivity, or user error
- Coordinate with the internal configuration team when issues require escalation
- Conduct test transactions and light end user training during downtimes
- Strong customer facing presence: professional, composed, friendly, able to represent a Fortune 500 brand to its guests
- Comfort with retail or food service technology: confident user of POS, kiosks, self checkout, or mobile ordering at minimum
- Operates independently on site with minimal supervision
- Travel ready: willing and able to travel for multi day deployment engagements, with heavier cadence during summer peak season
- Hands on experience with Oracle Simphony, Micros 3700, or RES, even at a user or light configuration level
- Background in hospitality, QSR, fast casual, food service, venue retail, or stadium concessions
- Prior involvement in go lives, new store openings, or multi site technology deployments
- Light technical troubleshooting instincts: knows how to reboot a kiosk, check connectivity, identify a manager mode lockout, run a test transaction
- Familiarity with KDS, self checkout systems, or mobile ordering integrations
- End user training or enablement experience
- Field implementation, deployment support, or customer success background at a hospitality tech vendor (Toast, Olo, Square, Oracle Hospitality, etc.)
- Multi property or multi brand deployment history
- Engagements typically run 4 to 5 days on site
- Frequent multi day travel during deployment cycles, regionally clustered where possible to reduce travel burden
- Heavier cadence May through September, lighter in off season
- Expect 6 to 8 week visibility from project initiation to deployment in most cases, some compressed to under 4 weeks
