Job Overview

The Senior Specialist, People Group supports the People Group by providing essential support services as requested by the Chief People Officer and other People Group leadership. The role is both project-oriented and administrative in nature. The Senior Specialist will assist in planning, directing and coordination of Ryan People Group projects to ensure goals are on target and objectives are accomplished directly with People Group Leadership For candidates that are short-listed for this position, there will be an online administrative assessment required, comprising MS Office applications.

This position will require in-office attendance at least four times/week.

Responsibilities
  • Create a positive team member experience.
  • Coordinate Team Building for all People Group leaders.
  • Engage with all People Group leaders in building enterprise People Group wide decks.
  • Engage PG leadership in planning change management initiatives under direction of the Chief People Officer.
  • Develop and maintain project and work plans based on business requirements, timelines, budget, and required staffing resources; monitor the integration of business requirements throughout the project life‑cycle as directed by the CPO.
  • Manage, prioritize, and execute PG projects as directed by the CPO while working autonomously to meet deadlines in a deadline‑driven environment.
  • Manage cross‑functional calendars and support multiple executives; coordinate detailed travel arrangements (domestic and international).
  • Provide general administrative support to the CPO (expense reporting, scheduling, etc.).
  • Create and manage event planning logistics for teams as required.
  • Demonstrate strong written and verbal communication skills and display a positive demeanor and team spirit.
  • Work with the CPO to determine changes in project timelines and deliverables.
  • Organize documentation for PG, oversee departmental meetings, minutes, and meeting preparation regarding venue and agendas.
  • Complete purchase order requests and monitor budget.
  • Prepare initial reports on monthly budget spend.
  • Assist in work for the Corporate Awards, DEI and Community Outreach during routine and peak times.
  • Assist with other projects and administrative duties as assigned by the Chief People Officer.
Education and Experience

BS or BA degree required in a business‑related field and 2+ years related experience in a similar environment or equivalent combination of education and experience. Strong judgement and understanding of confidentiality. Exceptional organizational and interpersonal skills. Must be quick, proactive, and responsive and have experience supporting a team. Strong desire to grow and learn project timelines, requirements and deliverables with a high aptitude for numbers and detail.

Ability to drive items to conclusion timely with minimal direction.

Computer Skills
  • Basic skills in Microsoft Excel and Outlook.
  • Intermediate skills in Microsoft Word and PowerPoint.
  • Internet navigation and research.
  • Basic knowledge of Adobe Acrobat and other commonly used business applications.

Supervisory Responsibilities

The position requires no supervisory responsibilities.

Work Environment

Standard indoor working environment. Occasional long periods of sitting while working ition requires regular interaction with employees at all levels of the Firm in person and via e‑mail and telephone. Position requires regular interaction with clients and interface with external vendors in person and via e‑mail and telephone.
