Dematic is seeking multiple talented Senior Mechanical Engineers to join our Global Project Engineering team. The Mechanical Engineering team performs engineering assignments with clear and specified objectives while on multi-discipline project teams. The ideal candidate will be passionate about engineering projects through to completion, building relationships with customers, and undertaking opportunities in a growing industry and team.

The base pay range for this role is estimated to be $102,750 - $150,700 at the time of posting. Final compensation will be determined by various factors such as work location, education, experience, knowledge, and skills.
What You Will Do in this Role- Complete the design of sophisticated systems that integrate hardware and software
- Complete sophisticated material specification, layout/drawing preparation, and appropriate follow-up
- Complete recommendations for ideas related to productivity improvement, cost reduction and improvement in customer satisfaction
- Perform complex technical interchange and knowledge transfer for both processes and application of products to system design
- Identify and resolve more complex problems and apply problem-solving skills to deal with most situations
- Project Engineering and Commissioning at customer sites
- Communicate, train, and work with customer for final system design
- Travels up to 25% to different customer locations/Dematic locations
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering (Mechanical Engineering preferred)
- 8+ years of successful experience in related field and successful demonstration of key responsibilities and knowledge as presented above. Advanced degree may be substituted for experience
- Proficient in 3D modeling software and AutoCAD
- Experience in Material Handling/automation industry
- Experience in a Mechanical Engineering position that is project-based (design to installation)
- Strong communication skills and presentation skills
- Ability to effectively delegate
- Understanding of project schedule and budget for Mechanical Engineering functions
- Able to lead multiple small or mid-sized projects
