Nurse Practitioner – Cardiovascular – PRN Days
Work Location6200 W Parker Rd, Plano, TX 75093
Work SchedulePRN Days;
Ideally looking for a consistent schedule of the same day(s) weekly for outpatient hospital‑based clinic support.
- Primary patient populations will be Structural Heart (TAVR) and Heart Failure.
- Growing cardiac, thoracic, and vascular surgical programs.
- Primary Heart Attack Center.
- Vision to continue growth and development of our high acuity capabilities to care for all patients.
- BSN, Bachelor’s Degree Graduate of an accredited nursing program (Required).
- MSN, Master’s Degree Graduate of a Nurse Practitioner program (Required).
- RN – Registered Nurse (Upon Hire Required).
- APRN – Advanced Practice Nurse (Upon Hire Required).
- NP – Nurse Practitioner (Upon Hire Required).
- 2 (Two) Years experience as a Nurse Practitioner.
- One (1) Year cardiac, thoracic, or vascular surgery patient experience strongly preferred.
- BCLS – Basic Cardiac Life Support (Prior to providing independent patient care and maintained quarterly).
- ACLS – Advanced Cardiac Life Support – Within 30 days of hire preferred.
- Utilizes principles and skills in communication and interviewing techniques in obtaining a comprehensive health history to formulate a plan of care and make decisions for appropriate therapeutic interventions.
- Uses principles and skills in advanced health assessment for differentiating normal and abnormal findings.
- Synthesizes knowledge of physiology, pathophysiology, culture, and socioeconomics to assess, evaluate, and provide therapeutic interventions to patients.
- Collaborates with the multidisciplinary team to improve care processes in order to promote continuity of care.
- Initiates actions to meet patients/families needs.
