Position: Nurse Practitioner —Cardiovascular —PRN Days

Nurse Practitioner – Cardiovascular (PRN Days)

6200 W Parker Rd, Plano, TX 75093

Work Schedule:

PRN Days;
Ideally looking for a consistent schedule of the same day(s) weekly for outpatient hospital‑based clinic support.

Cardiovascular Program Highlights
  • Primary patient populations will be Structural Heart (TAVR) and Heart Failure.
  • Growing cardiac, thoracic, and vascular surgical programs.
  • Primary Heart Attack Center.
  • Vision to continue growth and development of our high acuity capabilities to care for all patients.
Requirements
  • BSN, Bachelor’s Degree Graduate of an accredited nursing program – Required.
  • MSN, Master’s Degree Graduate of a Nurse Practitioner program – Required.
  • RN – Registered Nurse – Required upon hire.
  • APRN – Advanced Practice Nurse – Required upon hire.
  • NP – Nurse Practitioner – Required upon hire.
  • 2 (Two) Years experience as a Nurse Practitioner.
  • 1 (One) Year cardiac, thoracic, or vascular surgery patient experience – Strongly preferred.
  • BCLS – Basic Cardiac Life Support – Required prior to providing independent patient care and must be maintained quarterly.
  • ACLS – Advanced Cardiac Life Support – Preferred to be completed within 30 days of hire.
Duties
  • Utilizes principles and skills in communication and interviewing techniques to obtain a comprehensive health history, formulate a plan of care, and make decisions for appropriate therapeutic interventions.
  • Uses principles and skills in advanced health assessment for differentiating normal and abnormal findings.
  • Synthesizes knowledge of physiology, pathophysiology, culture, and socioeconomics to assess, evaluate, and provide therapeutic interventions to patients.
  • Collaborates with the multidisciplinary team to improve care processes and promote continuity of care.
  • Initiates actions to meet patients and families’ needs.
