Role Overview
This full‑time position begins in Summer 2026 and involves inside sales, account management, and operations to grow and manage a portfolio of carriers. Your mission is to deliver exceptional service to trucking company owners, dispatchers, and drivers by ensuring the right truck is matched with the right shipment at the right time and price.
Responsibilities- Establish and maintain carrier relationships through lead generation, cold‑calling, and referrals.
- Learn carriers’ business goals, preferences, and capabilities to maximize relationships and satisfaction.
- Monitor account activity, identify inactive or under‑utilized accounts, and take action to reactivate them.
- Leverage technology such as automated booking products, the carrier website, and mobile apps to enhance carrier satisfaction and efficiency.
- Support Capacity Procurement activities.
- Analyze freight market trends, seasonality, and supply‑demand factors to make informed pricing decisions.
- Use capacity analysis and internal costing tools to guide buying and negotiating strategies.
- Proactively post, negotiate, and secure available capacity to meet customer needs.
- Deliver exceptional customer service by addressing carrier issues promptly and implementing effective solutions.
- Regularly review and act on carrier feedback to improve service.
- Identify and recommend the best payment solutions for each carrier based on their needs.
- Assist carriers with cash advances and resolve payable issues to ensure smooth operations.
- Collaborate with internal teams on shipment updates, problem resolution, and operational execution.
- Maintain accurate transit load visibility and reinforce on‑time pickup and delivery expectations.
- Identify root causes of issues and implement solutions to enhance performance.
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
- Value a diverse and inclusive work environment.
- Hold a Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university (business, sales, marketing, supply chain, communications, or related major is a plus).
- Have experience using a customer‑centric perspective to guide decisions and actions.
- Can persuade, motivate, influence, and negotiate with others.
- Display strong decision‑making, multi‑tasking, communication and interpersonal skills.
- Enjoy solutions‑driven work by leveraging appropriate tools to evaluate and make recommendations.
Competitive base salary ($25.48 – $31.25 per hour) with opportunities to earn monthly bonuses based on performance. Additional variable compensation is not included in this range.
