Employee must have sufficient manual dexterity to operate a keyboard, copier, telephone, and basic computer knowledge. Position requires ability to communicate with physicians, employees and patients. Requires full range of body motion including handling and lifting patients, manual and finger dexterity and eye-hand coordination. Involves standing and walking. Occasional lifts and carries items weighing up to 50 pounds. Requires normal visual acuity and hearing. Requires exposure to bodily fluids. Assists in the delivery of primary health care and patient care management, collects blood, administer immunizations, stitches removal and assists physician with patient care.
Performance requirements and qualifications:
Knowledge of medical practice and laboratory techniques and care to assist in giving patient care
Knowledge of examination, diagnostic codes and Demonstrated secretarial, administrative and organizational skills with the desire to work in fast-pace, team environment. Flexibility in scheduling daily work hours.
Excellent oral/written skills and telephone etiquette.
Must be able to handle multiple incoming calls at the same time.
Demonstrated ability to screen calls and prioritize all phone calls and appointments.
Demonstrated ability in computer skills utilizing medical practice software.
Must be able to organize and analyze data and be able to communicate results clearly.
Strong interpersonal skills. Know how to handle difficult patients in a courteous manner.
Must be able to exercise initiative, judgment, and problem-solving skills.
Be team-oriented and exhibit a desire to learn and grow.
Demonstrate attention to detail
Display interest in growth and success of practice, including but not limited to patients satisfaction.
Bilingual in English and Spanish a must.
