RN - CVICU

The CVOR Registered Nurse (RN) is responsible for assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating healthcare services for patients undergoing cardiovascular surgical procedures. This role requires adherence to sterile procedures, ensuring necessary equipment and medications are available, and maintaining patient safety throughout surgical processes.

• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate healthcare services for patients before, during, and after surgical procedures.
• Ensure adherence to sterile procedures throughout the course of surgery.
• Maintain necessary equipment and medications for the operating room team.
• Record progress and outcomes of surgical procedures and ensure proper handling of specimens.
• Provide quality control and ensure patient safety at all times.

• ACLS and BLS certifications are required.
• Minimum of 2 years of current experience in an acute CVOR setting.
• Experience with CABG, MVR, AVR, pacemaker insertions, and some thoracic procedures is preferred.
• Experience with minimally invasive cardiac procedures is a plus.
• On-call participation is required approximately every other day and every other weekend.
